TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)

Course Outline:

This course will provide an overview of the key components of TPM while providing more in-depth, hands-on practice in the templates, formulas and visual tools used to practice TPM.  The emphasis will be to provide an overall familiarity with TPM and more in-depth understanding of key topics such as:

  • The benefits of TPM
  • Various types of maintenance
  • Establishing Autonomous Maintenance routines
  • The use of blue tags
  • The 6 Big Losses
  • OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) calculation
  • Tools to reduce losses
  • MTBF (mean time between failures)
  • MTTR (mean time to repair)
  • Developing worker maintenance mindset through one-point lessons
